Kyle Ganson

Virtual / In Person

As a clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience, I work with adolescents (16+), young adults, and parents/caregivers as they navigate mental health challenges. I support people experiencing eating disorders, body image issues, muscle dysmorphia, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and life transitions and changes, as well as issues specific to boys and men. I regularly assist parents, and specifically fathers and male caregivers, with a child experiencing an eating disorder to provide support, education, and tools to care for their loved one. Finally, I work with individuals in the helping professions, including psychotherapists, medical providers, and those in allied health professions who need support balancing their lives with stressful work environments.

My therapeutic approach is multifaceted and holistic and is grounded in the notion that all clients and their social networks have inherent strengths and resilience. I regularly use motivational interviewing (MI), internal family systems (IFS), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and attachment and psychodynamic approaches, as well as help clients engage in mindfulness and increase emotional regulation capabilities.

I have openings for both virtual and in-person meetings. Hope to connect with you soon.
